Coil Spring Compressors

I have a Ford Sport Trac and did not want to pay $300 for the OEM specialty part. This OTC tool did the trick. I had to place in very particularly on the frame but once in place I had the torsion bar out, the lower control arm installed, and the torsion bar back in in and hour. Highly recommend this for the price conscious DIY.

Not very good item, so weak when tried to compress front strut springs on 2004 Lincoln Town Car, the bots started to bend and became scary to use, had to rent a pair of spring compressors to get the job done.
