Chevrolet is famous all over the globe for producing legendary pickup trucks that revolutionized numerous aspects of the brand and the industry as a whole. Chevrolet’s radically different Advanced Design light-duty trucks defined a significant change in the design and appearance of pickups. Entering the exciting Post World War II era, people were looking forward to totally new opportunities; and that’s how new lines of America’s cars and light trucks were developed. GM was the first manufacturer to introduce new-look post War trucks; truck engineers began developing a new series by surveying truck users. The first concern with trucks was better vision and a roomier cab with comfortable seats. Advanced Design pickup cabs became wider and longer, which caused the new pickups to look seriously bigger.
Chevrolet recognized that its trucks had to be more than workhorses; they had to be more comfortable as well; Chevrolet also recognized that its trucks were no longer just farm trucks. The 3100 was actually one of the most popular trucks on the market. The first Chevrolet 3100 debuted in 1948. The 1954 Chevrolet 3100 pickup was built in the first year of Advanced Design pickups and got extensive styling changes. It featured the one-piece curved windshield, an all-new grille, parking lights, and some other innovative features. With the 216 cubic inch inline 6-cylinder engine, the 3100 was meant originally for hauling and working.
The Chevrolet 3100 is prized by those customers who restore and collect classic trucks. The 3100 belongs to the Advanced Design models, and it looked thoroughly modern at that time. With its rugged elegance and vintage hot rod swagger, the Chevrolet 3100 is a rear mix of ‘fun-to-own’ and ‘fine investment.’ We carry a huge variety of best-in-class Chevrolet 3100 parts manufactured to the highest standards!
