Product Details

Steel Aluminum Caliper Piston by Centric®. This caliper piston is manufactured to be just like the OE part that was included with your vehicle, so you can be certain of its functionality and fitment. Made from high-quality metal, the piston provides superior durability and excellent performance.

Brake caliper pistons are generally very reliable parts, but if you have a caliper sticking problem, the caliper piston could be the culprit. Suspect the caliper piston as the cause of a sticking caliper especially when the protective boot is ripped or torn. This can allow dirt and moisture to get inside the caliper and prevent the piston from sliding smoothly. This can damage the finish on the piston, requiring replacement. If you’re rebuilding a caliper and need a new piston, Centric has the premium quality piston you need. Each Centric piston is manufactured from the OE spec material, and finished and sized for precise fitment.

Best Price
Best price I found on these pistons great quality the only negative I would say is the add didn't say they are coated. That was the only thing they could do better is a little more info. I hoped they were anodized they fit perfect. So if you were thinking the same thing they are and nobody that I found has a better price

Front Caliper Piston
The replacement piston itself has the same quality as the OE one. The delivery was fast. That helped me to complete the restoration in time. Will use this site for my future purchases for sure.

Good Caliper
I'm pleased with these rear calipers. Everything went well, and they came with bleeder screws. The only thing I found lacking was the quality of the rubber caps on the guide pins. They fit loosely. I've already found one lying on my driveway, and all I've been doing is moving the car around to work on it. Soon they all will fall out and be lost.

Great Product, Great Price
Caliper was a direct fit, bled easily, and has functioned flawlessly since I installed it.

Poor Finish, Sloppy Bleed Valve Threads
This review is for brake calipers front and rear for 2005 Sprinter 3500 (with 285 mm rotors). These calipers are a good value if you plan to sell your Sprinter soon and let the next owner deal with maintenance headaches. They would have been a perfect replacement were it not for two issues: my largest complaint is that the bleed-valve internal threads were never re-machined. Not just in one caliper, but in all four calipers that I received. Because of prior rust (or being media-blasted) the bleed valve threads are somewhat loose in the holes unless they are completely tightened. There is enough slop that when you crack the valve open for bleeding, brake fluid immediately starts leaking past the threads and soon dripping down the caliper and wherever gravity takes it from there. This when cracking the valves open between 1/16 and 1/8 of a turn. These threaded holes should have been re-machined but weren't. This resulted in a considerable amount of brake fluid leaking down the outside of the calipers and making a mess, getting on the brake pads (which require removal to properly clean), and a puddle on the ground despite having attached a bleeder hose. The 2nd complaint is the poor paint-job. Due to engine problems my Sprinter sits parked on the street next to my house. Despite just sitting there, all of the Centric calipers have a patina of rust on them. They were nice and shiny when they arrived, but whatever coating was applied by Centric seems to have dissolved from just sitting there. Hmmm. Maybe all of that brake fluid that leaked past the bleed valves took off the paint? If properly painted and baked, though, the paint would have resisted being washed with brake fluid.
