Drive Motor Battery Service Plug (5H-2003PL) by Cardone Reman®. All hybrid vehicles are equipped with a safety disconnect switch, commonly known as a hybrid safety plug. These safety plugs are used to cut off high voltage from the rest of the system beyond the battery pack when the vehicle is being serviced. Oftentimes, the copper contacts of the plug will corrode, creating a faulty electrical connection that necessitates replacement.
