Carbon Creations® 102724 - OE Style Carbon Fiber Hood

The hood looks great. Installation took a little fitting which was expected. Minor modifications to the hood hinges were required to get all the gaps right. There remains a slight high area along the passenger fender line about midway which we left alone. Most people would never notice. Make sure you have help fitting the hood, we had the hood off and on numerous times. Protect the edges! Make sure you install hood pins, the outer skin of the hood is very thin so we also epoxied some aluminum to the underside of the hood for support where the pins fit and to avoid the pins coming into contact with the carbon fiber. Without pins the hood was moving around too much. The stock hinge bolts as well as those provided with the hood seemed to bottom out and or were requiring an uncomfortable about of torque before clamping down, a few spacers fixed this for now. We did not remount the Shelby fake hood scoop. The right front corner of the hood was not molded correctly at the lip, it was left it as is. The manufacture needs to look into this. Again this is not a show car so it met my needs perfectly. Excellent "bang for the buck" with good overall quality.

So I ordered this hood, first one came with two small dents. I'm still waiting on my replacement. But other than that the hood is beyond stunning, and customer service is decent.

I installed it, put the windshield washer holes and when I closed the hood the middle part was higher both sides. It did not seat property and the material was very flimsy, they could have made it a little thicker for $600 dollars. I took it off and is now sitting in my brothers garage. Thank you.

It looks great! Even though it's fiberglass with just a carbon fiber shell, you may have two dimples in the hood near the back of it just take pic and send in they will send you a new one.

I bought mine about a month ago and not only is it much lighter,it looks absolutely killer even from a far away glance. Also keeps my ait down, helped it get down about 70 degrees at first,used to run around 154 then after this was installed they became around 80s. The highest temp ive ever seen it get up to is 120 and that was on a really hot day so still dropped the temperature down 30 which is great.

Definitely fitting for my 2008 Gt. Looks great too.

I ABSOLUTELY love how this hood looks on my car. People stop me to ask where I got it all the time. The weave isn't 100% perfect if you're really picky, but it's good enough for me. No regrets.

Installation required some professional help but the end result is worth it. I added hood pins and they look cool too.
