Mechanical Details

The XM introduced a newly developed M Hybrid drive system. It consists of a 4.4-liter V8 with a pair of turbochargers and an electric motor integrated into an eight-speed automatic transmission. The total output of this setup is 644 horsepower. Thanks to a 25.7-kWh battery pack, the XM offers 30 miles of all-electric range. If that’s not enough for you, you can opt for the limited-edition Label Red version that promises 735 horsepower. The XM from BMW’s M division is equipped with “permanent four-wheel drive, with a bespoke M Sport differential situated at the rear axle allowing for torque vectoring.” There are also 48-volt anti-roll bars, adaptive dampers, and steel springs.

Bold & Brash Exterior

The XM features an aggressive exterior design which is inspired by its concept version introduced to the public in 2021. Compared to other SUVs from BMW, it has a more sculptural shape. The vehicle sports a large kidney grille flanked by split headlights up front and diffuser elements along with quad exhaust tips at the rear. The XM comes with a choice of standard 22-inch wheels and optional 23-inchers.

Luxurious Interior

Inside, there are two rows of comfortable seats with room for five. All interior parts and accessories are precisely crafted from high-quality materials. A large, slightly curved display running on the brand’s latest iDrive 8 software interface serves as a digital gauge cluster and an on-board infotainment center. There are also pulsating lights integrated into the headliner that announce an incoming phone call and warn about the object on the outside when doors are opening, therefore preventing potential damage.
