Product Details

B4 Series Strut Insert by Bilstein®. BILSTEIN has a legendary reputation for providing original equipment components to many of the world's finest vehicle manufacturers. The BILSTEIN B4 Series provides the same OEM quality and ride stability for the aftermarket. BILSTEIN uses both monotube and twin-tube technology to give the best in OE replacement driving comfort at a great economical price.

Original-Equipment. The world’s foremost automotive brands put their confidence in Bilstein quality. Why? Because brand develops and series-produce suspension components in collaboration with Bilstein partners from the automotive industry. By placing your trust in Bilstein experience too, you’ll be opting for the Bilstein driving experience when you exchange your suspension components.

Gas Pressure Technology. Over time, the mono-tube gas pressure technology developed by Bilstein has established itself as a standard in automotive construction. This technology involves keeping the oil in the absorber under pressure, which prevents it from foaming when temperatures and loads are increasing. As a result, full damping power is retained even when the system is placed under extreme stress, a feature that can be observed in the self-lowering piston.

Mono-tube Upside-Down Technology. The original and best: The original mono-tube gas pressure shock absorbers bore the Bilstein name, and we’re still responsible for producing the best there is. Bilstein’s mono-tube technology is the number-one choice in motorsports and series-production sports cars: no other type gives engineers the same freedom to choose the perfect installation location or position (e.g. Upside-Down technology).

Twin-tube Technology. The proven technology of a twin-tube absorber is applied in the vast majority of all vehicles. Bilstein‘s twin-tube absorbers, featuring “original equipment manufacturer” quality that has undergone rigorous testing, offer a marked improvement in driving characteristics with universal spare parts replaced in a timely and efficient manner.

Blisten 5160 Toyota Tacoma Rear Shocks
CARiD delivered them pretty darn quick and they were easy to install with instructions and video link they provided. Ride really well and that extra little cylinder for dampening really helps vs normal one tube shocks. I was missing a package containing one of the top washers and rubber grommets but used one of my old sets seeing that my original shocks were also Blisten. Had not the time to contact them yet but I am sure they will make it good!

Front Shock 5100
Arrived on time, easy enough to install. Ride feels better than the old stock electric controlled shocks.

Great But No Dust Covers and Bottom Spring Seat Cushion
They perform very well but I'm not happy about not getting a new dust cover with these. I only received 1 zip tie for the brake hose mount when I needed two. I also had to reuse the old bottom spring seat pad on the new one. This would've received 5 stars from me if it wasn't for those things.

Hey! Pick these!
This was my first experience purchasing from both CARiD and this brand of shocks. But let me tell you..This entire experience was superb, the product arrive quite quickly and well packaged. -I’ve replaced the original shocks with these and there's a noticeable difference. I also have to say that I'm not a car expert but I installed it easily.

Excellent
Have owned and driven countless trucks from fords, dodges, and Chevrolet. You won't get a better ride than with this brand. Its like riding a boat on calm water.. If you want to extend the life on everything else that goes hand in hand look no further. Bilstein knows what they're doing. Just might make you rethink the captains chair or butt pillow.

Not for Stock Ride Height
Installed these on a stock ride height 1500 and they are very rough riding, at slow speeds large cracks in the pavement are killer and hit hard enough to rattle the dash, they get better at highway speed. Unless your truck is leveled or lifted go with the 4600 Bilstein.
