Product Details

B14 Series PSS Coilover Kit by Bilstein®. The Bilstein B14 PSS Suspension allows adjustable vehicle ride height without the expense of a fully adjustable damping system. This system features both coilover and standard mono-tube gas pressure shock or struts with performance level valving for application specific, progressive rate coil springs.

Gas Pressure Technology. Over time, the mono-tube gas pressure technology developed by BILSTEIN has established itself as a standard in automotive construction. This technology involves keeping the oil in the absorber under pressure, which prevents it from foaming when temperatures and loads are increasing. As a result, full damping power is retained even when the system is placed under extreme stress, a feature that can be observed in the self-lowering piston.

Mono-tube Upside-Down Technology. The original and best: The original mono-tube gas pressure shock absorbers bore the BILSTEIN name, and we’re still responsible for producing the best there is. BILSTEIN’s mono-tube technology is the number-one choice in motorsports and series-production sports cars: no other type gives engineers the same freedom to choose the perfect installation location or position (e.g. Upside-Down technology).

Triple-C-Technology®. To ensure that you can fine-tune your vehicle exactly how you want it, Bilstein threaded ride height adjustable kits are easy to adjust – even when they’re installed. Allowing you to find the perfect balance for your vehicle. Bilstein 3-layer coating system, developed especially with threaded ride height adjustable kits in mind, guarantees high-quality, enduring corrosion protection. The special zinc alloy ensures excellent adherence to the base material, and forms the basis for longlasting corrosion protection. The middle coating transforms the zinc layer into a closed-formation, homogenous surface. Not only is the top coat aesthetically pleasing, it also provides additional, long-term protection against mechanical wear and corrosion. Endurance tests to DIN 50021 SS also testify to this: for Bilstein material, being subjected to salt spray for over 600 hours is like water off a duck’s back – compare that with the 418 hours boasted by stainless steel.

Road-Tested by Bilstein. To achieve that celebrated BILSTEIN driving experience, BILSTEIN engineers rely on not only technology that is truly at the cutting edge, but also something that has withstood the test of time: how it feels to the driver. As a result, all of Bilstein high-performance absorbers, as well as Bilstein sport suspensions and threaded ride height adjustable kits, undergo a rigorous testing programme. On the Nürburgring and in Bilstein own test centre at the Papenburg test track, Bilstein drivers test how balanced the driving characteristics of various vehicles are in a variety of different driving situations. Only when they have passed this programme of tests with distinction are they allowed to bear the BILSTEIN name. This way, Bilstein can guarantee that celebrated BILSTEIN driving experience.

Ride height change. A multitude of tests involving a wide variety of equipment helps Bilstein test engineers determine what the perfect lowering height should be. During this process, Bilstein considers aerodynamics, residual spring travel, driving characteristics, comfort, suitability for everyday use, behaviour in limited applications, and aesthetics. Bilstein custom-made kits for the alteration of the vehicle ride height consist of shock absorbers with associated suspension springs. Shock absorbers can be suitable combined with existing kits, in order to achieve a suspension clearance reduction or else increase.

Great Shocks!
I put these on about a year ago on my BMW 335i Xdrive sedan. The quality was great and the fitment was basically perfect. They lowered the car exactly where I wanted it and helped the car handle so much better, yet they were still great for daily driving. Overall a great suspension setup. I think for the money, they are one of the best options out there for this car!

Makes a Huge Difference
I bought these on advice from my mechanic. I had them delivered to him and he installed them on my Camaro. Wow. What a difference. Even in the looks departmemt...they not only look great in Zinc/yellow with blue springs (my car is almost the same blue color as the springs on the Bilsteins). Now, I drove home and entered the parkway on a standard reducing radius on ramp (tight circle) I did 70 entering the ramp...keeping power to the rear as it straightened and was over 100mph by the time I could legally merge. I was thrilled..and slowed down there was no traffic as I picked it up on a Sunday eve. The cars stance is vicious. It is a V6 but I have a Edelbrock Supercharger (19550) Eaton TVS traditional Supercharger location and gives me 100 Dyno tested RWHP. But the car is just light and fun and th only way a poor guy like me could get a supercharged Camaro. My dream has come true.

Worth The Extra Money.
They installed easy and ride like a dream. I decided to give them a chance after the Megan racing damper adjustable set had two major failures within two years. The Megan's were definitely cheaper for more features but not worth it in the end. There is never a good substitute for quality. Being lowered on Bilsteins ride better than the factory suspension.

Worth the Investment
Maaan. I'm blown away. Put these on my '04 S2K. The car feels planted and corners like it's on rails. Dropped it to about 1.2" and it looks perfect. Bilstein nailed it.

Replaced OEM Shocks for a 997 Turbo
My 997 Turbo with OEM PASM suspension hit 100k miles and needed new shocks. Bought these Bilstein sport damptronics as a replacement and upgrade for combined street light track use. Since PASM drops the car 10mm versus stock from the factory these lowered the car another 12mm, so roughly an inch versus a stock 997. Ride is firm but not jarring and the suspension absorbs small road bumps better now than it did with the OEM shocks. I suspect 100k miles of wear had a lot to do with that. The sport button makes the ride stiff and will be great from track use but not useful on street. The car looks much better now that it is lowered and there is still about half threaded length to adjust up or down. These are a great replacement for OEM shocks and since the shocks are matched to the springs they are better than just using lowering springs on OEM shocks.
