Banks® 42138 - Oiled Rectangular Air Filter

Thanks to its enclosed cold-air housing, huge inlet, giant dome-shaped lifetime filter and streamlined design, Banks Ram-Air Intake maximizes the flow of cool, dense air to the engine for greater power and fuel economy. It flows 50% better than stock-and delivers greater air density to the turbo's inlet than the stock system.

Multiple layers of cotton gauze sandwiched between aluminum screens, the Banks air filter elements catch more dirt on its way into your engine than the paper OEM filter does, and flow more air while doing so. The special oil that the gauze is saturated with catches dust just like flypaper. Better yet, the dirtier it gets, the more effective it is at trapping dirt. And unlike paper filters, it maintains a high flow rate until it’s almost completely plugged with dirt. Normal driving should only require cleaning and re-oiling of the filter every 30-50,000 miles. Extremely dusty where you drive? It only takes a few minutes to snap the filter free, soak it with Air Filter Cleaner solution, and rinse it clean with cold water. Allow the gauze to air dry, and spray it with Banks Air Filter oil. Now you’re good to go for another couple of years - or a trip down Baja.
