Product Details

Amplifier Interface by Axxess®. Integrate an aftermarket 2-channel or monoblock amplifier with the factory digital amplified system. Now you can drive a far more powerful amp and more speakers from the stock radio.

This item is designed to allow the user to add a 2-channel or monoblock amplifier to Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep vehicles that are equipped with the digital amplified sound system. These vehicles have a 2 channel fixed output at the radio which traditional line level convertors cannot use. It will provide a non-fading output as well as a 12 volt turn-on output for the aftermarket amplifier. Use these outputs to feed a bigger amplifier and speakers, and also for a subwoofer running off a center channel.

Works Flawlessly
For older Fords without a backup camera this module certainly does the trick. I had looked into many stereos and screens to use as a backup monitor to use with an aftermarket backup camera on the 2013 Ford Focus, but I was one of the few who actually liked the Sync interface and felt the OEM screen to be adequate to show a camera feed. Along with the Ford wiring harness and a camera (I found one elsewhere that integrated into the trunk release handle) this intuitively shows your backup camera when in reverse on the stereo screen and leaves everything else really stock. It also has 3 other inputs if you have other cameras or devices you'd like to display on your OEM screen, but I sold the car before I got around to playing with those.
