Introduced for the 2018 model year, the Valkyrie by Aston Martin was developed in collaboration with Red Bull Racing and a range of other companies, including Michelin, Multimatic, Alcon, Bosch, and Surface Transforms. The Valkyrie is the first model by the automaker to be considered a hypercar and is available in limited numbers – only 150 units are produced. The model continues the brand’s tradition of “V” cars that began in 1951 – the letter V in the nameplate distinguishes a high-performance vehicle. The Aston Martin Valkyrie delivers truly ground-breaking performance utilizing a 6.5 L V12 that can deliver 1,130 hp. Developed together with Cosworth, this high-revving naturally aspirated powerplant employs an electric motor for a power boost and provides an outstanding power-to-weight ratio of 1:1. The power generated by a V12 is transferred through a 7-speed paddle-shift gearbox designed by Newey and made by Red Bull.

The Valkyrie comes with a completely carbon-fiber bodywork that features no steel parts, that’s why it’s incredibly light, weighing only 2,270 lb. The exterior of the vehicle is very aerodynamic, and its open underfloor enhances downforce. The car uses a cutting-edge suspension developed using the latest technology and Newey working principles. It enables the Aston Martin Valkyrie to cope with high-speed aerodynamic loadings and ensures superior comfort and on-road usability at the same time. The car comes with distinctive headlights that incorporate an anodized aluminum frame and low and high beam elements attached to it. Model’s headlights are more than 30 percent lighter than the lightest headlight units offered by Aston Martin models. The badge on the nose is distinctive as well. Its chemical etched aluminum logo only 70 microns thick, which is 30 percent thinner than a human hair.

Despite a compact size and lightweight construction, the Aston Martin Valkyrie can easily accommodate two adults. Seats are mounted right to the tub to maximize interior room. Passengers will adopt a reclined “feet-up” position similar to the one in Le Mans Prototype and Formula 1 race cars that allows for safety and support of occupants. A 4-point harness is standard and 6-point one is available optionally.
