The Canadian built Acura EL came in two distinct trim levels: the Touring and the Premium both of which were offered with a five-speed manual transmission and the optional four-speed automatic. The EL was powered by a fuel-efficient 1.7-liter VTEC four-cylinder engine that delivered 127-hp – the same engine the top-of-the-line Honda Civic Si was equipped with. The Acura EL is a whole lot of fun to drive since it is pretty zippy little car. Featuring four-wheel independent suspension system with performance-oriented Bridgestone Potenza tires the EL feels confident while driving on wet roads and at highway-speeds it shines with its extremely responsive and precise steering.
