A 375-hp version of that mill, which was previously used by the GTS, is now moved to the mid-level Macan S, making it the sweet spot of the lineup. The base model gets more power, too – its 2.0-liter I4 is now capable of 261 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque (a bump of 13 hp and 22 lb-ft). All engines are teamed with a 7-speed PDK automatic transmission and AWD. The available GTS Sport package further improves the SUV’s handling talents by bringing in a torque-vectoring rear axle, performance tires, and launch control, while enhancing the visuals with black accessories and upgrading the cabin with sport seats.

The updates do not end here: the exterior and interior of the 2022 Macan have been tweaked a little bit as well. The grille and front bumper have been redesigned, while the rear end got a bigger diffuser. Inside, the design is cleaner and more reminiscent of that of Porsche’s current sports cars. The infotainment system uses a 10.9-inch touchscreen and can be had with a wide range of tech features, but most of them cost extra. Apple CarPlay is standard, but Android Auto is still missing.
