The 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1 is believed to be the fastest and most powerful Corvette ever made, embodying the most innovative technology in its production history. This highly anticipated supercar was finally introduced at the Dubai Motor Show in November 2017, lifting the veil of mystery and revealing all the peculiar details about its specs. No need to say that this one-of-a-kind car evoked a wave of excitement in the automotive world, mainly due to its unique LT5 supercharged engine, rated at 755 hp and 715 lb-ft of torque. To celebrate the car’s connection to the motorsports world, the 2019 Chevy Corvette ZR1 was named the official pace car of the annual 102nd Indianapolis 500 race.

The 2019 Corvette’s aggressive look is driven by functionality. The brand-new front fascia contributes to the model’s impressive speed as it’s specially designed to channel air for drivetrain cooling. In order to deal with heat soak, another four radiators were added, making a total of 13 heat exchangers installed in the car. The new aerodynamics package with an adjustable “High Wing” is meant to generate up to 950 pounds of downforce, pushing the Corvette harder onto the track for more confident handling, while the standard package with a rear “Low Wing” helps the car to reach the maximum speed of 210 mph. All configurations of the 2019 Chevy Corvette come with a front underwing, a new feature for Chevrolet vehicles.

For this model year, the ZR1 received a larger supercharger (52 % bigger than that of the Z06’s LT4) that now sticks up through a special carbon-fiber “halo” hood. With the LT5 6.2L V8 engine mated either to a seven-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission, the Corvette shows the highest output compared to all Chevrolet production models. To reach this milestone, Chevrolet engineers not only enlarged and modified the supercharger system, but also developed a special dual-fuel-injection system that primarily employs direct injection, supplementing it with port injectors.

A car like the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette is nothing like a regular vehicle that one might use for daily commuting; it’s a real masterpiece of engineering that is meant to thrill and captivate. Looks like the factory trim already on the passenger side. Follow the directions and there will be no problems. One installation hint is to mark 3 sides of the outer trim with painters/masking tape exactly where you think it looks best before final installation.
