Produced since 1960, the E-Series is Ford's second longest-lasting nameplate after the F-Series. For several generations, these vans have been serving the needs of businesses and personal-use applications around the globe, proving to be excellent at moving people and cargo around safely and in comfort. Passenger and cargo van variants are unavailable in North America, superseded with the Ford Transit in 2014. Although, stripped chassis and Class 3 - 4 cutaway van versions of the E-Series are still built, providing rugged foundations for motorhomes, school and shuttle buses, ambulances, and other types of commercial vehicles.
The 2018 E-Series range starts with the E-350 Super-Duty SRW (which stands for single rear wheels), offering a GVWR of 10,050 pounds. It is followed by single- and dual-wheel versions of the E-350 and E-450 with the maximum available GVWR of 14,500 pounds for heavy-duty jobs. Regardless of the model, these vans feature a comfortable cabin that sits on a sturdy full frame. Multiple packages are offered, with each having a specific set of 2018 Ford E-Series accessories and parts to better suit the intended use. Thus, the Motorhome Prep Package adds essentials like cruise control, fixed antenna, power windows and locks, while the Ambulance Prep Package has a heavy-duty battery and alternator and a limited-slip axle, among other features. For those who need their van to not only perform but also look great, there's the High-Series Exterior Upgrade Package that adds style-focused 2018 Ford E-Series accessories such as a chrome-plated grille and bumper. In case you need anything beyond the factory-installed prep packages, look no further as we have the right 2018 Ford E-Series parts and accessories from reputable aftermarket companies for your particular use.
Because different vocational applications have specific requirements for power, the E-Series offers two engine options. A 6.8L Triton V10 puts out 305 hp and 420 lb.-ft. of twist, enough for heavy hauling and towing as well as stop-and-go driving. A 6.2L flex-fuel V8 is the same engine found in the F-Series. With its output of 331 hp and 356 lb.-ft. and optimal power across the entire range, it is good for on-highway applications. A 6-speed TorqShift automatic transmission with overdrive is a perfect match for both engines. It can work in Tow/Haul mode, which means it automatically adjusts to changing loads and uphill/downhill driving to minimize gear hunting. The Engine Prep Package allows for switching from unleaded gasoline to CNG, with the other option being propane autogas.
Want to make your 2018 Ford E-series one of a kind, keep it running at its peak, or turn it into a high-powered beast? Our vast selection of premium accessories and parts ticks all the boxes.
