If you have a pickup with a topper, this top-notch Canopy Truck Rack by U.S. Rack is just what you need to transport your cargo safely. Crafted from high-strength steel, it is capable of carrying up to 250 lbs of cargo. However, keep in mind that the maximum load capacity should not exceed the strength of the topper. Featuring a black semi-gloss powder coat finish, this rack is both stylish and highly resistant to corrosion and other damage. It weighs only 35 lbs and easily fits any canopy with a flat roof. Model 2002-1S is designed for short bed trucks and fits roofs that are at least 52 inches long, while model 2002-1L works great with roofs that are at least 72 inches long.
The rack itself is extremely easy to mount, but some drilling is required to install the mounting feet. If you don’t need the rack, you can remove it in less than five minutes and store it almost anywhere you want, even in a compact space. Just disconnect the body of the rack from the low-profile mounting feet that remain bolted to the topper until needed. The U.S. Rack Canopy Rack features sturdy side rails that prevent cargo sliding and metal loops that are integrated into the rails to make tying down cargo easier. Plus, it’s made in the USA and offered at a great price. So why not enhance the versatility of your truck without spending a fortune?
U.S. RACK® began in a garage in Silicon Valley. The company’s founder, Chris Green, removed his welded rack off his pickup and found out that he had a sore back and no place to store the bulky rack. He wanted to create a rack that could clamp onto a truck and be stored easily when not in use. Determined to make sure that his designs were sturdy and safe, Chris initially worked with a university engineering department and later with an independent engineering lab to load-test components and products. In 2000, he set up a small shop to manufacture the first production racks and in 2003 built the larger manufacturing plant in Madera, Ca. U.S. Rack is still a small business but now manufactures over 40 different models of racks to satisfy every need for both work and play. Whether you need a rack to carry your bike, kayak, canoe, or any other cargo, the company has you covered.
