Surprising Traction and Handling Response for Dodge Charger R/T AWD. A New Customer for Nitto
Originally my car was running Goodyears just because they were a brand the family has been running (including myself) for years. But this past summer season was coming to an end and along with it a tire change. I was planning on going with the tried and true again until one friend mentioned I should try some different tire brands out to see how they compare. So I parked the car in the garage and started on my journey to research for the best tires that would fit my driving style. From Falken to Toyo, Continental to Michelin, I found any information on the companies that I could. Then I found out about Nitto Tires, a branch company of Toyo (independently running from Toyo). They got their foothold by going to competitors & attending car enthusiast and asking what they wanted from a tire. Through listening to the intended customers, they honed their tires to meet these expectations. So I decided to give them a try and I have to say it was an amazing decision. Right in the beginning i noticed that i didnt have as much slip as what I used to have from Goodyear. So I put another 1000 miles on the tires to see if there would be any fade in the grip. To my surprise, I didn't feel any initial drop off. I was able to take corners a little faster, the rear end didn't want to step out from behind as often, and no spinning the rear wheels on take off. In summary, if you are looking for a new tire brand to try out for you project car, muscle car, or any performance oriented daily driver, the best suggestion would be to try some Nitto's.

Never Again
Tires are soft. Don't handle or corner at all. Speeds over 45mph produce loud noise and uneven pavement feel or as if tires need balancing. Not recommended for faster high hp vehicles (300hp ^) or serious drivers. Slaloms are wobbly! Feels like vehicle is sliding off the road. I've spent hundreds of dollars trying to "fix" the problem until I realized they're just cheap tires. You get what you pay for. BTW, I absolutely do not recommend speeds above 60-70mph!! No handling, cornering or maneuvering. Tires are not as good as the ratings suggest. Trust a true driver, which is better than a real driver, that good tires cost (mad) money. You get what you pay for!!
