Warranty

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY FOR SELECTED EXHAUST

All mufflers and muffler assemblies (welded units that contain a muffler, but are not part of an exhaust kit) are warranted for the "life of the vehicle" to the original purchaser, subject to the standard warranty terms and conditions listed below. This warranty is not transferable and ceases immediately upon change of vehicle ownership. This policy applies to all units shipped from the manufacturer's location on or after May 1, 2020 and is not retroactive.

STANDARD WARRANTY FOR EXHAUST

BRExhaust warrants all exhaust system parts and exhaust system kits, against defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 2 years. This warranty shall not apply to any exhaust system part which has been subject to abnormal use, negligence, or blown out by a "backfire," accident, nor does it cover labor charges or any other claim incidental to replacing a defective part. BRExhaust does not warranty modified exhaust or emission systems or converters that have been modified or installed on a vehicle for which they have not been cataloged. Any warranties implied in fact or by law (which includes, among others, warranties of merchantability and warranties of fitness for purpose) shall only be valid for one year from the date of purchase of such exhaust system parts.

WARRANTY FOR VFM EXHAUST, FLEX, AND HARDWARE

Same terms and conditions apply as listed under the standard warranty for exhaust except that the warranty period is for one year on all units.

CATALYTIC CONVERTER WARRANTY

BRExhaust catalytic converters are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship. All BRExhaust catalytic converters are designed and manufactured to meet the emissions performance requirements specified by the Federal EPA and/or the California Air Resource Board (CARB). For Federal/EPA Catalytic Converters: When the vehicle is properly maintained, the catalytic converter is warranted to meet such requirements for 25,000 miles from the date of installation. For California Catalytic Converters: When the vehicle is properly maintained, the catalytic converter is warranted to meet such requirements for 5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the date of installation. BRExhaust further warrants catalytic converter’s external shell for 5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever comes first, from date of installation.

The BRExhaust warranty is void if the catalytic converter is not properly installed on the vehicle for which it is designed and cataloged, if it has been altered or repaired, or if it has been damaged by negligence, accident or mishandling. BRExhaust assumes no liability for catalytic converter failures related to engines not operating within original equipment specifications, vehicles with an illegal add-on devise or modified part, or the use specialty fuels, lubricants or additives.

BRExhaust warrants end-pipes and other exhaust attachments (those being attached during the original manufacturing process and otherwise unaltered during installation) against defects in material and workmanship, for 2 years, from date of installation, and the Standard Warranty for Exhaust applies to these pieces.

There is no warranty on clogged converters, melted or contaminated substrates, or noise levels.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act:

Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C)) Learn More

Update Week 1

Bosal® 096-3021 - Premium Load Direct Fit Catalytic Converter

Finished installing the Bosal premium CAT and ended up getting the replacement downpipe from Bosal too. Had to cut the original out cause it would NOT come through the engine bay. I had my car on Jack stands instead of a lift. So, after I cut out the old CAT, installing the new Bosal premium CAT was so much easier. Even accessing the oxygen sensors was a piece of cake. It has a lot deeper rumble and much less restriction than the factory one. May upgrade to the Bosal exhaust system soon and see if it gives any more performance. Honestly, very pleased with this Catalytic converter, and the Bosal company. Only gripe I have is the sticker on both of them. It would be nice if the sticker was vinyl, not paper. But it can be taken off carefully with goof off and a razor, then clean up with citrus degreaser. If you install this CAT, make sure to get the Bosch O2 sensors too. They created the first O2 sensors and they’re superior quality. No more check engine light! Good luck!

Bosal® 096-3021 - Premium Load Direct Fit Catalytic Converter

I really wish I could upload photos here so people could get a better understanding of questions they may have in how it is delivered to you. Bosal changed names to BRExhaust, so that’s how you can find the newer models. Packaging that I received was smaller than I expected, but was well packed with packing paper and the packing pillows. There was a huge paper sticker with the product info on it. Would be nice if it were vinyl instead of paper. Ended up having to get it off with DeSolve it spray and citrus degreaser afterwards. Overall it took 15 minutes to do that. NOW, the quality. The welds, all around, are pretty sufficient. There is some welding splatter, but it is completely sealed up nonetheless. The mounting plates for exhaust manifold input and output look to be laser cut, aka good quality. I’m going to install it soon with Bosch Oxygen Sensors, so I will soon have an update on the performance and difference compared to the original CAT.
