For 2004, the Toyota Tundra offers a new crew cab version named the Double Cab. The new model uses a 140.5” wheelbase and is 4” wider and 3” taller than other Tundra trucks. In addition, it comes with a 3.5” deeper bed compared to the Access Cab and features four conventional front-hinged doors. Other models of the lineup remained essentially unchanged. The 2004 Toyota Tundra offers a choice of two engines – a 3.4 L V6 is the base one, good for 190 hp and 220 lb.-ft., while a 4.7 L V8 that can develop 240 hp and 315 lb.-ft. is available as an option. The V6 can be directed through a 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic, while the V8 is connected to an automatic transmission only. The new Tundra is capable of carrying 1,800 lb and can tow up to 7,100 lb.

The 2004 Toyota Tundra features a comfortable interior with a lot of front-seat space. It also provides more hip room than any other American pickup. Getting inside the vehicle is effortless. The Tundra feels tall, providing a commanding view. Inside, there are straightforward instruments; switches are grouped in the center cluster, making operation easier. The center console features dual map pockets, four cupholders, double sun visors, and covered storage. The newly introduced Double Cab provides a bit more hip room and 1” more front headroom than older versions. It also offers 37.5” of rear legroom and 24-degree recline of the rear seatbacks. Each seating position in the rear offers a 3-point safety belt and a headrest. There are air conditioning and heating outlets for the rear occupants; DVD and audio entertainment systems are offered as extras. The Double Cab comes with the first for the segment vertical power-sliding window in the rear, providing 4 times the open area as the manual sliding windows in other models. It also comes with bucket seats in front, while other models feature split-bench seats.

The 2004 Toyota Tundra comes with force limiters, seatbelt pretensioners, dual front airbags, and ABS as standard. A switch for the passenger-side airbag is standard too. Air conditioning is optional for the base grade and standard on all others. In case you need more options or want more power in your truck, in our catalog you will find the necessary products.
