Premium products from leading names

The Jeep Wrangler received a comprehensive range of updates for the 2001 model year. The new four-ply soft top is now available, providing higher durability and better sound insulation. Intermittent windshield wipers became standard for 2001, ABS system was improved, and fuel-tank skid plate was made thicker. A number of features are now standard for the vehicle, including a rearview mirror, low-pivot steering column, airbag cutoff switch, and others. An optional 4.0 L I6 power plant now meets LEV requirements in all states. Deep-tinted windows are standard now on the Sahara hard top version and optional for SE and Sport variants fitted with a solid-shell roof. Interior updates include a premium subwoofer and two new designs of the center console, both available for all versions of the 2001 Jeep Wrangler. Removable side steps and add-a-trunk accessory locker were redesigned to enhance functionality. Some changes in exterior color options were made.

The base engine for the 2001 Jeep Wrangler is a 2.5 L I4 that serves up 120 hp. A 4.0 L I6 good for 181 hp, reworked last year for quieter and more refined performance, is offered as an option. Both power units are directed through a 5-speed manual that was first used for the 2000 model year as well. The base engine delivers up to 20 mpg highway, while the I6 returns up to 19 mpg hwy. The interior of the Wrangler is plain and neat, delivering enough room for 4 occupants. You can easily clean the interior as it features removable carpets, slotted map holders, drain holes, and water-resistant seat fabrics. The front seats are comfortable and deliver good lateral support. The rear ones can be flipped down, providing much more cargo space.

The Jeep Wrangler is a recognizable vehicle thanks to its big 7-slotted grille, open fenders, side curtains, exposed hinges, and other features. Even though after a 1997 model year redesign it has a gentler and softer look, it is still unmistakably a Wrangler. You can make your vehicle even more distinctive with the help of our 2001 Jeep Wrangler accessories and parts. 2001 Jeep Wrangler Accessories & Parts Reviews

Looks Nice
I had trouble getting the stitches tight and the string kept knotting but finally got it on. Also, it seemed a bit small and I had great difficulties getting it to look good. Looks good but in no way are the stiching tight like the images online. It’s acceptable and is far better than the original steering wheel.
