Our sway bars for the 1977-1996 Impala and Caprice are constructed of 1 5/16" FRONT AND 1.5" REAR, SOLID 4140 CHROME MOLY. Spohn Performance bar stock is 4140 chrome moly heat treated spring grade steel. The bars are entirely heat formed and coined as one piece. Spohn Performance put Spohn Performance bars through this extensive process to insure that the final product will be the strongest, most durable bars on the market, and that they will be the most resistant to form alteration. Most aftermarket anti-sway bars are cold-bent, making them weaker at the bends, and more vulnerable to shape alteration.
