Fixed calipers by Wilwood offer unmatched stopping power. The pistons in fixed calipers are located on both sides of the disc, allowing for evenly distributed clamping force. They apply more squeezing power and apply it more evenly during braking as force is directly applied to both sides. Multi-piston calipers allow for more even braking and, as a result, less pad distortion. The more number of pistons a caliper has, the more clamping force it provides. Thanks to the evenly distributed pressure, these calipers ensure an even wear pattern along the entire length of the brake pad. These calipers have smaller diameter pistons than OE single-piston calipers. This caliper kit includes D8-6 calipers, DOT compliant stainless braided brake lines and a set of BP-10 Smart Pad compound brake pads. After installing this caliper kit on your vehicle you get the added benefit of six piston pad clamping power. D8-6 calipers provide great pedal response along with substantial weight savings over OE calipers. The aluminum body of calipers is an excellent way to provide cooler operating temperatures as well as better heat dissipation, which means longer wear rate for road or track applications. Installation

Warranty

Do not drive on untested brakes. Brakes must be tested after installation or maintenance.

Make sure pedal is firm: Hold firm pressure on pedal for several minutes, it should remain in position without sinking. If pedal sinks toward floor, check system for fluid leaks. DO NOT drive vehicle if pedal does not stay firm or can be pushed to the floor with normal pressure.
At very low speed (2-5 mph) apply brakes hard several times while turning steering from full left to full right, repeat several times. Remove the wheels and check that components are not touching, rubbing, or leaking.
Carefully examine all brake components, brake lines, and fittings for leaks and interference.
Make sure there is no interference with wheels or suspension components.
Drive vehicle at low speed (15-20 mph) making moderate and hard stops. Brakes should feel normal and positive. Again check for leaks and interference.
Always test vehicle in a safe place where there is no danger to (or from) other people or vehicles.
Always wear seat belts and make use of all safety equipment.
