Also the corporation released its own models and was among the first to use four-wheel hydraulic brake system in its vehicles. All that took place in the first five years of Chrysler’s existence. The Chrysler’s popularity flourished in the ‘50s and ‘60s thanks to the Dodge Charger, the 300 coupe, and Imperial Le Baron until the 1973 oil crisis. By the year 1987, the company had recovered and bought Jeep and Lamborghini and started collaborating with Mitsubishi to establish Diamond Star Motors. For today, Chrysler also owns Jeep, SRT, and Ram brands, being itself the property of Fiat and the part of the Big Tree. Chrysler takes the seventh place among the world automobile manufacturers by production volumes. Its headquarters are situated in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
