Since its release in 2013, the Maserati Ghibli has remained virtually intact, save for a few minor changes inside and out. The 2020 model also soldiers on largely unchanged. One of the most exciting things about this midsize luxury sedan is the addition of the Royale special series and Edizione Ribelle special edition to its lineup. For starters, the automaker says only 100 examples of the Royale series will be built for three models: the Ghibli, Levante, and Quattroporte, which makes it even more desirable. The Royale series is actually an appearance package that includes many uniquely designed parts and accessories. It also adds high tech appointments. Those who want their sedan look even more exclusive can turn to the aftermarket full of 2020 Maserati Ghibli accessories and parts. From custom dash covers and shift knobs to unique exhaust tips and license plates, whatever your needs, we have you covered.
Another great thing about the new Ghibli is that the automaker added the Trofeo trim to its lineup. It gives the sedan a well-known twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine developed by Ferrari. The Ghibli is available with a V8 for the fist time to speak of. That mill is good for an impressive 580 horsepower directed to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic. To ensure good traction, the automaker equipped the Ghibli Trofeo with a limited-slip differential. It also comes with a Corsa mode for more aggressive driving. The top speed is claimed to be 203 mph, which makes the model one of the fastest sedans from Maserati. Along with the above-mentioned mechanical changes, the Trofeo trim also brings a number of styling tweaks including new aluminum wheels, revised rear lights, and carbon fiber trim on a rear extractor and front air duct.
For this year, the base model got a heated steering wheel as a standard option. The GranSport and GranLusso got more safety features such as forward-collision warning. They also received adaptive cruise control. On the mechanical side of things, the model is unchanged. Just like before, the U.S.-spec model gets power from a turbocharged V6 with a displacement of 3.0 liters. It is good enough to generate 345 horsepower. There is also an updated version of that mill for those drivers who want even more power. It makes 424 HP that is more than enough for a car of this class. This engine sits under the hood of the Ghibli S. As the S trim is fairly well-equipped from the get-go, it serves as a base for the all-new Edizione Ribelle special edition. That edition is limited to only 100 examples and adds the Nero Ribelle exterior color and back chrome trim. There are also 20-inch wheels with red brake calipers that make an eye-catching contrast with the body. Besides, Edizione Ribelle models feature a black and red leather interior. Rear-wheel drive is standard by default with all-wheel drive available on the S Q4.
As far as styling goes, the car retains its unique silhouette. Up front, it has a renowned concave grille flanked by Bi-Xenon headlights. There are also LED daytime running lights. Moving to the rear, it has quad exhaust pipes. While base models run on 19-inch alloy wheels, the GranSport versions sit on unique 20-inch wheels. Owners who want to give their sedan even more exclusive looks often replace factory rims and tires with their aftermarket counterparts. Sometimes, it is a necessary step because of wear. Besides, factory tires may not meet your road or weather conditions. Whatever the reason, you will find a huge range of tires and rims in our selection of 2020 Maserati Ghibli parts and accessories to choose from. Peeking inside reveals lots of first-class materials and many stylish details throughout the cabin. The interior is well-equipped with the latest technologies that aim to make any trip comfortable, fun, and pleasant.
