The iconic Camaro by Chevy received a major visual revision for 1969. While the powertrain choices and key mechanical parts were carried over from the previous model year, its styling was significantly refreshed. The Camaro gained a sportier look thanks to all-new sheetmetal (except for the trunk lid and hood). The grille underwent a redesign and incorporated deeply inset headlights along with a signature "V" cant. Thanks to a new rear valance panel, quarter panels, and door skins, the Chevy Camaro got a much lower, wider, and more aggressive look. This styling was exclusive for the 1969 model and didn’t have much in common with smooth and rounded lines of 1967-1968 model years. Engine choices became even more plentiful for 1969, offering 12 options overall. The original base engine (5.4 L 210-hp V8) was replaced with a 5.0 L small-block V8 good for 200 hp during 1969. The most robust option was a 7.0 L V8 employed by the Camaro ZL1 that could develop up to 425 hp. The range of transmissions offered a choice of a 4-speed manual as well as 2-speed and 3-speed automatic.

The interior of the 1969 Chevy Camaro was updated as well, with the most notable change being a new dashboard. The base version comes with carpeting, upgraded Astro ventilation system, and bucket seats. The SS variant received modest exterior updates, such as a heavily insulated hood and sport striping. The track-ready Z/28 offers a heavy-duty radiator, dual exhaust, special suspension, rally wheels, and quick-ratio steering. All versions of the 1969 Camaro by Chevrolet can be outfitted with a Rally Sport option. It includes special wheels and stripes, hidden headlights, attractive carpeting, special bucket seats, and other features. The available performance upgrades made 1969 one of the greatest model years in the Camaro's history.

Shotty craftsmanship. Air bubbles, dents, cracks, splits, etc. EVERYWHERE! What should have been a 3 to 4 day project turned into a week and a half project trying to even out dips, uneven surfaces, holes, blemishes, etc... simply because a wore out, warped molding at the factory should have been long sine been disposed of long ago! Those molds go through extreme heat and can only go through so many moldings before they're heat warped. I spent almost $400 - spoiler, tax, s&h. I missed an annual car show I really was looking forward to because this spoiler wasn't able to be finished in time. This spoiler shouldn't have made it through quality control!!!!!! The installation hardware wasn't included, not to mention there were two screws missing in the top bar of the spoiler.
