Combination Parking Caliper Drilled and Slotted Rotor Brake Kit by Wilwood®. If you are looking for a parking drilled and slotted brake kit, go with Wilwood. This kit provides new options for drum brake conversions and disc upgrades on rear axles that are not conducive to internal shoe systems. Rotors feature cross drill and slot pattern to provide increased cooling capacity and better outgassing. These hydraulic calipers use hydraulic power for braking and mechanical locking mechanism for a parking brake. Drilled and slotted rotors originally used for serious competitions because of their advanced cooling capacity now became popular in street applications for their pure aesthetic value. This kit makes a great solution for those who demand more from their parking system, from an ordinary driver to a dedicated performance fanatic. Floating calipers by Wilwood aren't solidly mounted so they can slide left and right via pins and bushings on the bracket. When the brakes are applied, the piston pushes the entire caliper, creating friction from the brake pads on both sides of the rotor. The floating calipers are suitable for most vehicles since they are lighter, cheaper, and more compact than a fixed caliper. The internal vane design of these vented rotors by Wilwood provides excellent heat dissipation during brake cycles. As the wheel spins, the vanes around the edge of the rotor draw air in and pull it through to help cool the rotor. With the extra heat dissipated there will be less brake fade. This rotor design by Wilwood combines the best features of a slotted rotor and cross-drilled rotor allowing your brakes to run cooler and sweep away water and dust. The cross-drilled and slotted rotors improve air circulation and increase brake pad bite, ensuring incredible stopping performance.

Warranty

Do not drive on untested brakes. Brakes must be tested after installation or maintenance.

Make sure pedal is firm: Hold firm pressure on pedal for several minutes, it should remain in position without sinking. If pedal sinks toward floor, check system for fluid leaks. DO NOT drive vehicle if pedal does not stay firm or can be pushed to the floor with normal pressure.
At very low speed (2-5 mph) apply brakes hard several times while turning steering from full left to full right, repeat several times. Remove the wheels and check that components are not touching, rubbing, or leaking.
Carefully examine all brake components, brake lines, and fittings for leaks and interference.
Make sure there is no interference with wheels or suspension components.
Drive vehicle at low speed (15-20 mph) making moderate and hard stops. Brakes should feel normal and positive. Again check for leaks and interference.
Always test vehicle in a safe place where there is no danger to (or from) other people or vehicles.
Always wear seat belts and make use of all safety equipment.

Amazing Stopping Power!

This brake kit was all included along with purchasing the steel braided brake lines, kit was easy to install and yielded incredible results over the stop braking capability. Would highly recommend this to anyone using their srt4 for auto cross or any type of short track racing.

Needs Tweaking

Product looks amazing on my 2014 GMC 1500 especially after a good car wash. Down side the brake pads create excessive brake dust. Not that impressed with the stopping ability especially from a 6 piston caliper.
