A wide range of wheels offered in the aftermarket are engineered and produced to be used specifically on the racetrack. Although similar in their outer appearance, these rims can differ greatly depending on the type of racing that you are planning to engage in. Those utilized for alcohol-fueled dragsters differ from rally car competitions. Besides, even if they look the same as those aftermarket custom wheels available for tuner autos and street cars, rims created specifically for racing are produced using more durable grades of alloys and are engineered with more robust constructions. State-of-the-art computer equipment and hardware are used as well. Aluminum racing wheels are cast, flow-formed, or forged, and then finally machined to their final shapes.
Steel wheels are also available, with the central section stamped from heavy-gauge metal and welded to the barrel. Racing wheels must be strong, stiff, yet lightweight. They need to remain robust enough to be able to handle harsh abuses of competition driving. They also need to be able to withstand greater rotational loads. Weight reduction means less strain on suspension and better acceleration and maneuverability. 15 inch racing wheels that we carry are supplied to us by some of the most renowned manufacturing companies present in the aftermarket, including BBS, RTX, Niche, Vossen, TSW, Vision, and many more, so you can get the finest equipment for your race car!
