Forged wheels have rightfully gained their dominance over all other custom wheels for their ultimate strength and light weight. Forging begins with a hefty piece of high-quality T6061 aluminum alloy, which is used in marine and aircraft industries. The chunk is pre-heated and placed into a rough shape utilizing a large-size hydraulic press, which transfers considerable amounts of pressure. Then the blank is allowed to cool, and the final piece is machined to perfection using CNC tooling and equipment. First the rim section is formed, together with the face, then the face elements and stud openings are machined. The forging process makes the aluminum alloy as dense as possible, while ridding it of any and all pores and slag. The resulting metal structure becomes exceptionally strong and durable.

The higher alloy quality also means that less material is necessary to attain high strength, which is precisely the reason why such rims offer considerable weight savings. The final product is then painted or coated for lasting superb looks.
