ImpactLiner® Black CabProtector by WeatherTech®. WeatherTech CabProtector is a custom-fit truck bed panel designed to shield the front, vertical cab wall (bulkhead) of your pickup truck from damage caused by shifting cargo, toolboxes, lumber and other extremely heavy items. This often-neglected area of your truck bed is where toolboxes slam during hard emergency braking, lumber can strike during sudden stops, and where dents, scratches and paint chipping most often show up.
Our solution specifically targets the vertical bulkhead area that other options on the market leave exposed. Even the most premium spray-in bed liners don’t cover this critical impact zone. WeatherTech’s CabProtector covers this zone without modification of your existing bed liner if you happen to have one.
CabProtector features WeatherTech’s patent-pending impact ring technology, a feature engineered to protect your truck bed from damage. Here’s how it works:
For minor bumps and cargo shifts:
The impact rings compress on contact, creating a cushioning buffer between your cargo and the truck bed surfaces. This prevents surface scratches, scuffs and paint damage from everyday loading, unloading and driving.
For heavy hits, such as with emergency braking:
The impact rings disperse the force across the entire surface area of the panel, distributing energy so it isn’t concentrated in a single point. This significantly reduces the denting, scraping and cracking that heavy cargo can cause. On the ImpactLiner, the impact rings also serve a secondary function: they elevate the liner above the truck bed surface, creating airflow underneath. This allows moisture to escape rather than becoming trapped, which helps prevent the rust and corrosion that are common problems with traditional drop-in bed liners.
