When your engine accelerates, some engine power is wasted in engine movement allowed by flex in the motor mounts. Some vehicles may experience wheel hop during off the line acceleration. Excessive flex here can also disturb shift linkage adjustment, possibly causing missed shifts. If the engine flexes too much during acceleration and deceleration, the resulting movement can eventually destroy the motor mounts.

The answer to these problems is the Weapon-R Engine Torque Damper Kit. The Torque Damper is a small shock absorber that mounts between the engine and the chassis to prevent excessive engine movement. Reduced engine movement will increase power to the drivetrain, smooth shifts, and reduce strain and increase the life of your motor mounts. The damper is adjustable so you can dial in the desired amount of rigidity.
