WD-40 Automotive Chemicals
In 1953, a company called Rocket Chemical Company which included only three employees ventured to create a line of rust-prevention solvents and degreasers for the aerospace industry in a small science lab in San Diego, California. After 39 unsuccessful attempts three lucky geniuses managed to develop the original secret formula for WD-40 - which stands for Water Displacement perfected on the 40th try. The formula of the original product hasn't changed since then.
