Volvo 164 Starting & Charging

Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 1968, the Volvo 164 was a 4-door luxury sedan based on the 140 Series platform. The vehicle featured a unique style with an elegant body and long hood that covered a powerful 6-cylinder engine. The Volvo 164 had a refined interior and several features to improve comfort and handling such as the air conditioning system and power steering. Through the years, the 164 Series underwent several minor improvements. In 1973, the car's exterior and interior were facelifted. The next year, the auto received heated seats. Eventually, it was supplanted with the Volvo 264 in 1976.
