The minivan represented a rebadged and slightly restyled version of the fifth-generation Town & Country by Chrysler. The production of the vehicle was launched at the Chrysler's factory in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. The U.S. sales of the Routan were not really successful due to the strong competition provided primarily by its siblings that were marketed by Chrysler Corporation. The Routan was no longer available in 2012 because the vehicle just didn’t sell.
