    Product Details

    Plastic Black Cold Air Intake System with Pro 5 Filter (15535) by Volant®. Cooler air is denser and packs in more oxygen for better combustion and more horsepower. This air intake system features an airbox that completely insulates the air filter from engine heat, making sure only cool air reaches your engine. The result is quicker throttle response, improved acceleration and better fuel economy.

    There are many cool air intake kits on the market, but how many deliver what they promise? All claim to position the air filter where it will draw in cool air. Some include barriers that are supposed to shield the air filter from engine heat. Only Volant features a sealed Cool Airbox that thoroughly insulates and protects the air filter from engine heat, moisture, dust and debris.

    The engineers at Volant designed the Cool Airbox to house a large free-flowing Pro 5 air filter. The Pro 5 air filter, constructed of high grade cotton filter media with 5 layers of protection, is washable and reusable. It reduces air restriction and increases engine output by using precision pleat geometry that optimizes airflow throughout the intake system. The airbox air intake is located so the air filter can only draw in cooler, ambient air. Access to the air filter for servicing is provided by an attractive polished aluminum or carbon fiber look lid.

    From the airbox, cool air proceeds to your engine through Volant's Cross-Link polyethylene air duct. Unlike OEM air ducts that have sound baffles and make awkward bends, the Volant air duct is sculptured to give the engine less restrictive breathing, incorporating larger diameters and unique bends that can't be duplicated with metal ducts. (Also, unlike metal ducts, the polyethylene Volant air duct doesn't conduct engine heat right into the intake airflow, thereby defeating the purpose of a cool air intake!) The end result is maximum airflow velocity and quicker throttle response.

    Every Volant Cool Air Intake Kit comes complete with everything necessary for installation, including comprehensive installation instructions. All clamps and connectors are made from quality materials. The Silicone connectors provide flexibility while maintaining strength and thermal stability; they won't crack or deform over time like rubber connectors. The marine-grade stainless steel clamps provide a solid seal that won't loosen or deteriorate.

    Volant Cold Air Intake Colorado/Canyon
    I heard many good things about the Volant and decided to give them a try. I installed the Air Intake according to instructions on CARiD website and after watching a you tube video and it was super easy and no leaks the first try. I wasn't expecting to actually feel or hear any difference, but surprisingly my truck likes the fresher air. I could feel a little quicker throttle response and a slightly higher engine growl I can't wait to add a catback to really take advantage of the Volant. I've only had it on the truck 2 weeks, but I like what its doing for me. I'd buy it again. Volant quality is apparent, this unit looks better than the other cold air intakes on the market and performs very well. I will definitely refer my friends to Volant and CARiD.

    Definitely a quality product. Noticeable difference over stock system. I liked the fact that it has multiple air entry points not just one but 3 three. This system was the hardest Install out of all intake kits I have owned ( k & n, Airaid , Injen) the silicone sleeve for the I take tube to the throttle body is very hard to get on be careful not to damage it. Also the intake tube design over the #2 coil plug needs more clearance it's a tight fight over it. Maf sensor does not fit in exactly factory has rectangle shape Intake kit is circular had to modify. Overall not bad product just know it's not a simple install and could use improvements.

    Great Intake
    Have a 2012 Chrysler 300s AWD swapped with a 2014 charger 5.7L Intake really makes a difference on liftoff.

    Gain In Power and Helped With Mileage
    I definitely could feel a power in the take off and when towing heavy loads it sits 200 rpm’s lower then normal and my mileage has definitely improved will pay for itself it 4-5 months, Didn’t fit exactly perfect but it works

    Nothing Special
    Installed this on my 2017 Nissan Frontier hoping to maybe gain a little mpg but no real changes to note after about 10 fill ups and trying different driving styles still no real gain It is very loud in the cab when you do get on the gas or towing in hill country. Its very noticeably louder in the cab to the point if I tow my travel trailer I'll install my old air box.

    Mostly Satisfied
    Easy install. Poor quality of plastic tube. Didn't notice any power gains or fuel economy gains either. So don't see the point of the intake.
