TRW Auto Parts

TRW is known as a leading manufacturer of original and aftermarket automotive parts for a wide range of vehicles. With 100 years of heritage as a supplier to global original equipment manufacturers, the company started building related aftermarket components that are second to none. Today, globally recognized as a leader in supplying automotive safety systems, it offers the largest range of active and passive safety products including disc/drum brake and actuation systems as well as steering, linkage and suspension components.

Since 1908, when the company built the first wooden wheels for the Ford Model T, it has never stopped creating benchmarks for quality, bringing innovation to the automotive market and forging a reputation for safety and durability. Built using an unrivalled experience of the company, safety and performance advances, as well as the latest materials and software, TRW automotive parts provide customers with quality and durability they are looking for. Whether it’s TRW brake pads or TRW ball joints, they deliver reliable performance.

For more than 100 years, TRW has provided the industry with innovative solutions. COTEC, an advanced silicate coating, is among the recent innovations of the company. This coating is applied to the friction material of replacement brake pads, resulting in a greatly improved contact between the pad and disc. It allows for stopping a vehicle up to 7 meters quicker compared to other brake pads during the bedding-in period. The company also provided a range of pistons that have long been known for their close tolerances, high quality, and durability. Yet, TRW pistons have been integrated into the Speed Pro PowerForged series (the other brand of Federal Mogul, the parent company of TRW).

Not Enough Info
So this part did not give you an option for 2 or 4 wd. It says it fits all models, I have determined that's a lie. it does not fit a 79 F150 4x4. It may however fit a two wheel drive. But for me all it did was create more work/ hassle because now I have to deal with the replacement instead of working on my truck. I am sure the part is fine it's the sales and marketing that need fixed.

Great Pad
I’ve put close to 1000 miles on the brake pads very little dust I would call it break in the dust and I know like all my other vehicles that have ceramic on them the brake dust will be maybe 5% of normal semi metallic brake pads would leave.
