Tie Down Engineering is an internationally-renowned metal fabrication company based in Atlanta, Georgia. It works on the base principle of development through innovation and extensive manufacturing and product capabilities. In the early 1980s, the company became one of the first businesses in the Southeast which used robotic welding. Early in the 1990s, Tie Down began using CNC laser cutting, which allowed the company to expand its range of products thanks to greater freedom in designing. At the same time, the company became an early user of FEA analysis and 3D modeling, when these tools were yet in their beginning stage.
At the beginning of the new millennium, while learning many lessons from both engineering and manufacturing, Tie Down has enlarged its capabilities and became one of the first companies in North America to utilize laser tube cutting. In 2012, the company implemented its first high-capability fiber laser upon a sheet-cutting platform. Tie Down’s vast meta-forming and robotic welding capabilities have also kept up with the company’s development in plate, tube, and sheet cutting, reflected in everything from Tie Down Engineering guide ons to Tie Down Engineering plastic fenders.
And since 2016, the company has been using the first and only bi-directional folding machine with the greatest capacity in North America, which gave Tie Down one more way to produce sheet metal parts. When it comes to high-volume production, the company has attained some of the highest performance and quality standards by such enterprises as Textron, United Technologies, Kubota, and others. Tie Down also performs research and development work for Army Research Laboratories, Lockheed Martin, TARDEC, and even NASA. So when you choose Tie Down Engineering replacement wheel hub kits or any other products, you know your expectations will be met and your challenges will be taken on.
