Product Details

Universal Wheel Straps by Thule®. Size: 4" x 4" x 1". These ratcheting wheel straps secure the bicycle's wheels to the rack tray. They come in a pack of two and each includes adapters for use with road bike wheels. Always have extras on hand in case they get lost or damaged, so you can safely transport your bikes.

Thule makes a variety of bike racks that secure the bike in the upright position by the forks, by the frame or by the front wheel. The one constant are the wheel straps that secure the bike's wheels to the rack tray. These ratcheting straps have a cam tightening mechanism that applies just the right amount of pressure without damaging the rim. This pack includes 2 wheel straps. Adapters are included to use on road bike wheels.

It works as expected, the strapping and locking mechanism makes it easy to install. The strap is long enough. It keeps the carrier from walking away. Though no one has stolen my bike rack yet, I am not sure it would stop a determined thief. From the other hand, I am not sure what exactly would be able to stop the determined thief. At least, if someone wants to steal the carrier, this will make'em to think twice.

Thule Tram Hitch Ski / Snowboard Carrier
CARiD had the lowest price for this rack and my fear was that there would be some reason why. Got the rack, it installed pretty easily, and worked very well. It was great not having to grapple with the skis on top of the SUV. Great value!
