The distance between the rear edge of the roof and the back end is very steep on some cars, disrupting airflow and increasing drag. This distance can, in effect, be lengthened or the slope made gentler by a properly designed spoiler, which will prevent airflow separation and reduce drag. And although it can be ordered unpainted, T5i strongly encourages you to select the painted option. The company’s computerized paint mixing system enables them to guarantee that your spoiler will match your factory paint, and it's unlikely that a local body shop will be able to paint your spoiler for less than the price difference.
