Sylvania® was originally founded in 1931, specializing in the development and manufacturing of vacuum tubes and radio transceivers. The company emerged on the forefront of lighting technology with the introduction of the first fluorescent lighting tube in 1939, and followed by branching into customer electronics such as television sets, radios, camera flashbulbs, and more. In 1959, Sylvania merged with General Telephone to form General Telephone and Electronics (GTE). During the following decades, Sylvania expanded their product lineup into automotive lighting applications and began cutting edge work on fiberoptics. In 1993, Sylvania merged with German lighting company Osram (founded in 1919) to form the Osram Sylvania name that is known today. Today, Osram Sylvania has United States headquarters and manufacturing in Hillsboro, NH and has become the world's largest manufacturer of automotive lighting equipment as well as products that illuminate homes and commercial applications.

It's a great bulb specially for the 2004 Ford Focus. You can't go wrong with it, and it's better than factory bulb, don't forget it's blue, and the light distance take to other road side.

These bulbs really throw the light out there. Sitting at our schools parking lot at one end and they light up a path all the way across it. Really nice. Install was the norm for these type of headlights. The light looks great and really lights up the road.

Replacement Headlight Bulbs
I drive a good bit of interstate and backroads in GA and AL. I was not impressed with the headlights on my 07 Expedition. I wanted more reach and side coverage. These were easy to replace and gave me the light I wanted without the hassle of an all new system or auxiliary lighting.

I put these on and they are like magic... They are a bit brighter than the regular halogens you get. Its not like those super white like the hid's that everyone has, but they work just great.

Looks wise. They are somewhere in between regular halogens and HID Xenons. Brightness is maybe 15-20% more than the regular halogens. But cost is way less than for HIDs. I'm pretty satisfied with the SilverStar bulbs.

This product was worth the money for me. I have horrible night vision and they provide enough light so I can see on unlit roads. Sometimes, people aren't aware that gloves need to be worn when installing bulbs. Oil from the hands can damage the bulbs and make them burn out quickly. Also, brighter bulbs don't last as long as the dimmer ones. Common sense should answer the why question on that one.
