This tailgate was a perfect fit and was very easy to install in about 10 minutes. It also looks great and seems to be made well. The only thing that I don't care for is it's inability to handle weight. It seems like it would be easy to alter the design to bolster weight handling capability from the factory. I am having additional support welded across the frame, and changing the cables.

Easy to install, works great, locks well and looks really good on the truck.

I just got it installed today on my truck and it looks really sharp! Came with everything needed to get it installed and I was impressed with how quickly I received it.

My Stromberg Carlson tailgate looks great! It was easy to install and I love the locking feature. It is an all around great tailgate!

It is a 1/2 higher than the rail of the truck.

This product is beyond fantastic. My tailgate was stolen at 1pm from parking lot while in Costco (unbelievable right?). Researched buying replacement tailgate (dealer and aftermarket), and they were so dang expensive. “Settled” on this product. Had I know it existed, I would have bought the day I got my new truck 4 years ago! The middle “cut out” is genius. Makes backing up in a truck a breeze because you can see! Such a clever design. Great quality, and the “slat openings” improve gas mileage (makes total sense to me, when a small amount of leaves etc would be In the back of my bed. They would tumble In a violet circle/vortex, as opposed to flying out even at 70 mph). Final bonus is I just love the look of it. So sleak. Price is simply unbelievable for what you get compared to other options. Installed an after market back up camera month I bought the truck and would have never needed it if I had gotten this tailgate. I simply can’t say enough good things about this product. Simply watch a YouTube video for 3 minutes before installing, and it’s a breeze.

It looks good on the tailgate. It provides privacy (mostly) when the tonneau cover is on. It is very light, however. Because the tailgate is such light quality and cannot be stood on, the insert is in the way of climbing into the truck box with the tailgate open. This is more an issue of the tailgate than the insert, but to do it over, I would have purchased the heavier duty tailgate.

The product looks great on my vehicle. It fits great and is very light. However, because it is so light it's use is limited to its one purpose....to be used as a tailgate for the 5th wheel camper. Because it is so light, We cannot stand on it. The louvered insert looks good installed, but is kind of redundant because it impairs my ability to climb into the truck box without standing on the tailgate.
