Just Purchased
Just installed these yesterday, 9/29/25, and overall I’m pretty satisfied. The installation was straightforward and easy, aside from having to reuse the metal clips from the old lights for the screws to attach the assembly to the vehicle. The clips that come with the lights are insufficient and would not hold a screw. My biggest complaint is that for the price I paid for these, the fact I have to still go in and do some wiring after the fact is unacceptable. Something this expensive should come with load resistors built in or something. I lost the use of my cruise control, so I have to do some figuring on that end. Otherwise I’m happy. Lights look fantastic

Better Than Stock
I own a 2022 Chevy Colorado ZR2. I purchased a set of the SpyderALT-YD-CCO15-LED-RC - Chrome/Red Fiber Optic LED Tail Lights to replace the stock taillights in spring of 2022. I immediately made changes to the lights to improve their weather resistance and to improve their longevity. Out of the box the electrical connections on the back do not have any kind of weather protection. I added heat shrink tubing and silicone to all the electrical connections. I don’t know why Spyder didn’t weather proof the lights. The process I used is below start at 4m 18s. After three years the lights work flawlessly. They look great and have zero defects. I would buy them again.

Good taillights
These are plug and play and mount exactly how the oem housings mount. So far thoroughly impressed with them.

Perfect Replacement
If you want too fix the cheap ones that hyper flash or do not signal when pressing the brakes theses are it drop in ready. No modifications needed with these taillights

Taillights
Would recommend, just put on my 2016 wrx. I was confused on how to install sense it wasn’t plug and play, but once I read the installation guide it was really easy, basically just have to take out all the electrical from the OEM and plug it into the new, took me maybe 20 mins. Loved the result.

Easy Install
Instructions were pretty much generic, but YouTube shows how to remove factory tail lights (2 trim pieces and 2 screws per side). Very pleased to learn they have built-in diodes to prevent hyperflash. So NO aggravating resistors to install. You will have to unplug factory harness from underneath the vehicle as these come with it's own harness which plugs right in to factory connections. Price is much better than others I've found online. The ONLY complaint is the running lights aren't super red. They almost have a slight pink tint due to them shining through the white bars.

Great Product
Out of all the of the aftermarket lights I’ve gotten, these have been the least problematic. Blew a fuse when I installed them but that was an easy fix. I’ve had these since late 2022 and they’re still going strong. One of the edges has chipped so I’m not sure how that happened but it doesn’t affect the performance of the light so I don’t mind.
