Has it become difficult to pick out your car or truck from all the like models in the parking lot? If so, maybe it’s time to give your ride a unique look that will make it stand out from the mundane masses. These LED tail lights from Spec-D are a great way for your ride to get an exclusive appearance. For a small amount of cash, time and effort these lights will transform the back of your vehicle and give it a look that’s much different from what rolled off the assembly line. The designers at Spec-D create lights for each specific make and model, ensuring that the styling will be distinctive but at the same time complement your vehicle’s design.

These lights include the style, superior illumination and added safety that you can only get from LED lights. LED lights are the most advanced form of lighting. Their compact size makes it easy to arrange them in distinctive patterns, as seen on many late model luxury cars. They’re extremely durable, with an average lifespan of 50,000-75,000 hours, which means they’ll probably outlast the rest of your vehicle. The light they produce is much brighter and cleaner, much more attractive than incandescent light. The pattern of the LEDs in these lights is unique, so your ride will command attention wherever you go. But one feature makes LEDs particularly appropriate for tail light/stop light use: LEDs rise to their full intensity approximately 200 milliseconds faster than incandescent bulbs. This may not sound like a lot of time, but it may only be a split second that’s needed for the driver behind you to see your stop lights and react to avoid an accident.

Please check your state regulations to make sure whether smoke lights are street-legal. Their usage may be life-threatening if used on roads or highways.

They’re designed to exactly replace your factory lights, however some electrical wiring work may be required. Most lights come with detailed instructions to guide you through the installation. Spec-D tail lights are backed by a limited 1 year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.

Brake Light too Dim!
These look great and installed easily. The turn signal L.E.D’s are nice and bright, but the surrounding lightbar which is you tail light and brake light were way too dim. Dangerously dim. In daytime hours it’s very hard to see the lights with the application of the brakes. It's safe for drivers who may be following you. Had to return these.

Spec-D Chrome/ Dark Tail Lights
Easy install and look nice. If you’re looking for black taillights these are it. I sealed them with silicone just because nothing is made right anymore but so far so good as far as moisture goes.

Spec-D - Black LED Tail Lights
Love the lights but head warning. They have no running lights so when when my lights are on there's no rear lights. Driving at night in alaska isn't the best for these cause no one can see you from behind. I'll end up having to swap these out for something with running lights. Pretty disappointing cause I love them otherwise.

Love The Lights
installed these lights on my 2008 Silverado wasn't very clear on instructions especially reversing the harness and stretching the wires to fit. The screws from factory lights was not the same size had to buy new bolts for new lights and being in the elements the relay was not going to stick to body. Took some figuring out but installed and looks awesome.

Great Product - Videos and Instructions Misleading
So two things to note if you buy this for you 2011 Chevy Silverado - 1. make sure you are good with electrical modifications because you will have to cut a ground in the harness and extend it. 2. if you still have your OEM lights you will need them or need either spare fittings/screws. You'll need more than just a screw driver and the panel puller. I had to make sure I had needle nose pliers, wire stripper, spare black 13 or 16 gauge wire, solder gun or shrink tubing. I'll go into #1 and #2 right now. The video for installation and instructions included made it sound so easy you unplug the harness from OEM lights, unplug stop light bulbs and connect in new places and connect the relay. Yeah... doesn't work that way. The reason for the electrical modifications knowledge is your plugging in two sockets in polar opposites from where they were in the OEM light. It doesn't reach, you even have to cut out the wire cover tube and stretch it a bit, doesn't make it. Even though the socket that doesn't reach is not being used, I imagine you still need to complete the circuit to avoid shorts, etc. In addition to this - if you're like me and have a ten year old truck that lives outside in the elements the rust that wears down the framing where the tail lights are, you will have to jerry rig the relay because there's no way 3M tape is going to keep the relay from falling. I used zip ties. #2 issue, the screw mount fitting/clips that are on this aftermarket light are not using the same screw size that is on your OEM lights. I didn't have spare machine screws that would fit the aftermarket fittings, so I used needle nose pliers to yank the ones off the OEM lights and put on the aftermarket ones. Other than those two/three situations - it's a great light and I love the aesthetics of it.

Wiring Harness s**ks.
They look good but that’s about it. Thought they’d be plug and play but that was definitely not the case. One of the harnesses didn’t work properly, kept blowing the fuse. Had to use modified stock harness.
