Product Details

Halo Headlights by Spec-D®. Upgrade your car or truck from plain and anonymous to stunning and unique with these Halo Headlights. Halo lights are one of the most popular trends in automotive lighting and Spec-D features them in these distinctively styled headlight assemblies. They’ll make your ride stand out and get noticed, and the increased visibility will make it more conspicuous.

Installation

After many years and miles driven, the headlights on the average car or truck have been dimmed by abrasion from road debris, and yellowed and discolored from the sun and elements. If this sounds like the lights on your vehicle, you could pay dearly and replace them with lights from the dealer, or you could save some cash and get an appearance and lighting upgrade from Spec-D.

Like an artist uses a palette to express his creativity, the designers at Spec-D have used these headlight housings to work their styling magic to create the one-of-a-kind, custom designed Halo headlights that you see on this page. Just by replacing your old, dim headlights you’ll gain a safer, more pleasurable driving experience, and give your vehicle an appearance makeover that will result in head turning looks.

Halo lights, also called “angel eyes”, are light rings that surround the headlights, for a distinctive look popularized by European luxury models. The Halos style will get your vehicle noticed, but the increased visibility will also mean safer driving for you. Please check your state regulations to make sure whether smoke lights are street-legal.

Good but Very Hard to iInstall Correctly
So the lights look amazing. The low beams are pretty decent and th hi beams when adjusted correctly get the job done. Wiring the Halo angel eyes took forever tho. They are NOT plug and play and you must do your own wiring for those. Normal head light install took about 2hrs total and then just wiring the halos took an additional 6hrs. After all the frustration and time it is worth it because now they look amazing. Only buy if you are willing to put a lot of time into them.

Sick Headlights
They look sick and theyre easy to install, my only problem is they forgot to install one of the LEDs which is pretty ridiculous, if that didnt happen it would be a 5 out of 5

Better Lights
I like the quality. The instructions to install is very understandable except for one thing. The red wires with the little box attached. No instructions on how, when or why to connect them.

Absolute Worst
Bought 2 different sets of these and they are all absolutely awful. They aren't sealed from moisture so about 2 months after having them they will have an opaque film coating the entire inside blocking the light. Rubber boots are cheap and dont fit right, so there is no gasket there either. The wires are a cheap thin gauge that keep turning to char, I've had to cut the terminals off twice each and rewire them to not burn into smitherines. Don't even get me started on adjusting them, I have to remove my damn battery just to reach the adjusters for the vertical and i have slim little girl hands!!! WTF SPEC D! Save your money and go get a Spyder set.

Bad Instructions and Not as Good as OEM
So the instructions are horrible but with enough Youtube you can figure it out. OEM has places to clip in wire harness that you have to reuse to keep wires from flopping around and these lights don't. You also have to splice in running lights to harness because they for some reason don't wire in running lights to work with existing wire harness. Instructions don't tell you which color wires to splice in for GMC running lights even though I would think it is standard color for all vehicles lights fit. Lights are not as bright as I had hoped and are almost impossible to get at the adjustment screws. They look good on the truck but I would not buy from Spec-D again. The instructions talk about a resistor being fragile and care must be taken to not damage it. One of the lights the resistor just fell off because it wasn't glued very good to the light and was dangling by the wires. Still works for now but I think the lights won't last long before they break.

Good Looking Headlights But
The headlights are good looking that’s for sure. But the halos could be brighter.

Way Over Complicated
Rather than making it a really easy process and just having the head lamps have an adapter that fits into the original headlamp adapter wiring, they decided to make it an over complicated process in witch you have to cut and splice wires to make it work properly. They are amazing looking headlights witch I was really excited to put on, but I’m no expert on car electronics and as someone who just was looking for the aesthetics this is a very complicated process. They hit the mark on making a good looking product but I’m now going to have to pay someone to put them in for me and I’m not nearly as excited for these. Stay clear if you don’t have compete confidence in your self to rewire the head lamps yourself.

Didn’t Last Long
I’ve had these for 16 months. Bulbs burning out and one set of halos have went out. As much as I like the look of them, I am going back to OEM style. I want dependable headlights over fancy.
