Sparco® 005921 - Pit Board Numbers

I bought this protector to use for kart racing. I slipped it on, attached the velcro, and pulled my race suit over it. It fit very well, once the rib panels adjusted to the curves of my sides. The rib protector has padding for shoulders, chest, and ribs, which is a cut above every other protector at this price. The padding is modest, but effective. I was racing at Blackhawk Farms Raceway (speeds up to 85MPH), and my ribs (which were already badly bruised from a previous race) were kept from further damage.If I did not have this protector, the pain would have been too great for me to race that weekend. I will wear this every time I race, and would buy another. The construction of the webbing that holds all the armor pieces together isn't overly robust, and may be prone to tearing (we shall see), but I love the product thus far and it has allowed my ribs to heal so I can sleep on my side again at night.
