MPG-MAX™ System (SNO-500) by Snow Performance®. Lower EGTs 100-300 degrees and increase HP by 65+ with a cleaner, cooler running Diesel Engine! The Snow Performance Diesel Boost Cooler is available for all Duramax owners looking to have the benefit of water-methanol injection through out the boost range. The kit utilizes a progressive VC-50 controller (52mm gauge) that commands two water-methanol nozzles that proportionally inject more or less according to boost pressure. Start and full points are adjustable for engagement and delivery curve to match what the engine requires. Proportionally injecting according to boost pressure gives an accurate delivery of water-methanol and allows cooling and performance improvements over a wide range for improved drivability. The VC-50 controller (52mm gauge) offers the functionality of a boost gauge and water-methanol controller all in one! Highlighting a 7 colors (Blue, White, Red, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Green) OLED screen displaying boost, percentage of injection, secondary nozzle activation, prime button, and 4 fault codes directly on the screen you can tailor the controller to match your OEM gauges or mix and match up to two colors. 7 Gal Tank included for trip ready installation. Recommended for all daily driven Diesel Trucks.
Installation
Snow Performance is on the cutting edge of today's technology by providing world-class water/methanol injection systems. Hence, it offers the most effective ways to fight detonation and retard the spark advance. In the case when you run out of fluid with an aggressive tune, one such system is a true assistant. Besides, if you're looking to get more power out of your engine, the real question is what power gains you can expect with the Snow Performance water-methanol injection system. With each and every Snow Performance Boost Cooler Kit, you're guaranteed to reap tangible benefits for your vehicle.
The power in turbo diesels, unlike gasoline ones, is mostly a function of fuel. The problem with continually adding fuel is that you'll reach a point where the EGT's (exhaust gas temperatures) become prohibitive. Typically, a ‘safe' 50/50 mix of water-methanol will make air charge temps 200 degrees F (and more) cooler. This provides more molecules of oxygen for efficient combustion. With the system installed properly, you'll get extra 50-100 horsepower and 100-150 lb-ft of torque in nothing flat. Where else can you get such kind of power with reduced emissions, cooler EGT's, and of course, optimized fuel economy?
