Factory Style Replacement Reclining Front Seat by Smittybilt®. This seat is the high-quality, economical alternative to rebuilding your worn and tattered OE seat. It's made to factory specifications with powdercoated tubular frame, comfortable spring suspension, the proper density foam, and factory style upholstery pattern and color. This seat bolts to factory mounts, however 1997 and later models require a specific seat adapter bracket.
Installation
Your stock seats are inadequate for serious off-roading. When the going gets rough, you need a seat that will keep you firmly supported and in position behind the wheel, not trying to hold on, so you can stay in control. And you need a seat that will cushion you from the jarring and jolting bumps and craters encountered on the trail, so you don't get worn out. The XRC Suspension Seat was designed for the off-road enthusiast who demands the very best in suspension seat technology.
To create this seat, Smittybilt started with the best foundation, a Kodiak tubular frame, which is one of the strongest tubular frames in the industry. Then, for the ultimate in comfort they formed the cushion and seat back from high-performance foam pack with a Contoured Single Suspension Liner. Finally, the seat is covered in Mil Spec (material that meets U.S. Defense Department standards) fabric and vinyl material with cutouts to accommodate the installation of a 5-point safety harness. The seat features a billet seat back release handle for a modern, stylish look.
The XRC Suspension Seat is easy to install, and is a direct installation on 1976-1995 Jeep CJs and Wranglers, however an adapter bracket, which varies according to year span, is required to install the seat on 1997 and later models. The soft components of the seat are backed by a limited 1-year warranty, while the seat frame is covered by a limited lifetime warranty. Both warranties provide coverage against defects in materials and workmanship.
