Simpson Performance Products was founded in 1959 by Bill Simpson as Simpson Drag Chutes and has grown to become one of the major manufacturers of racing safety equipment in North America and internationally. The company supplies harness systems, gloves, Simpson helmets, head restraints, shoes, racing seats, and more to all racers from local to international teams. Simpson racing suits and other safety gear and equipment have been utilized in many types of motorsports, among them NASCAR, IndyCars, IHRA, CART, and NHRA.

All of International Race of Champions (IROC) cars had been equipped with Simpson racing products like window nets and belts until the governing body was closed. All the way up until the mid-2000s, Simpson was the only officially certified company to offer safety equipment used in NASCAR racing. The company first offered The Envelope of Safety idea back in 1999. The EOS is the company’s approach to the total protection of the race car driver. By surrounding the driver with eight protection elements, the company’s products safeguard them from dangers on the race track. Keeping the driver contained inside a safety cell protected at 360 degrees is absolutely vital during any crash. The race car driver must be kept straight up in the seat, with the “spine in line” that is critical to personal safety. Carefully mounted seats, head and neck devices, restraints, head surrounds, and window & side nets complete the system.

Pack Advertised Is Not the One Recieved
I bought what I thought was the Simpson pit pack with the checkered flag on it - as this was the item advertised on the website. I ordered this item and paid for it. Because I live in Australia the item got shipped via UPS who then give the parcel to StarTrack express once it gets to Australia. Nightmare!!! I couldn’t change where the parcel could be delivered to. I was going on holidays and had to arrange my house sitters to collect this as the item required a signature. I was excited to get this parcel upon my arrival home. Ripping open the box (which was massive) I soon realised that the pit bag I had recieved was not the same one as the one in the picture but infact the newer model with the retro stripes. So what are my options? Well not many because I live in Australia I would have to ship it back to the US. However if the older model wasn’t available or in stock why not contact the customer to let them know and then they can decide whether they still wan't to proceed with the order. I’ve decided to keep the bag despite not being the one I thought I was getting. The bag is of high quality with loads of compartments which I love. It’s perfect for all my gym stuff and for when we go racing.

User-Friendly. Weighs Very Little
This helmet feels super light. Well-made shell. Secure fit. Has additional venting and offers extra cooling, which is especially great on a baking summer day. Offers better comfort to the eyes thanks to the visor that reduces glare. I also liked the fire-resistant lining – it gives more confidence in protection.
