The concept of the Saturn Sky was presented at the famous North American International Auto Show in 2005. One year later, in 2006, visitors of this show got a possibility to see the production version. This sports car was designed as a two-door roadster equipped with either 2.0L tc LNF or 2.4L LE5 engine. A five-speed gearbox was offered in both manual and automatic version. Apart from stylish vehicles for urban streets, the engineers at Saturn also developed the highly modified version of the Sky for motorsports. It was powered with an aluminum turbocharged V8 engine that was capable of producing 800 horsepower. The model took part in the Formula Drift competition. The Saturn Sky was produced until 2009 – the 2010 model year was the last one.
