Launched in 2002, the Saturn Ion supplanted the S-Series in the company's lineup. In fact, the Ion was a really distinctive vehicle in the Saturn model range; in 2006, this auto became the largest representative of the compact-car class. The vehicle was offered in two body styles, a sedan and a four-door quad coupe. Initially, this automobile was equipped with an Ecotec 2.2-liter inline-four motor making 140 horsepower, but in 2006, the Ion received a more powerful 2.4-liter engine developing 170 hp. The vehicle featured a rather unusual design of the dash panel – the gauges were shifted to the center instead of placing them behind the steering wheel.
We all know that even the most reliable vehicles require servicing, and the Ion is no exception. In some cases, you may need to make sure that the emission control system works properly. The environmental issues are just one of the reasons to have your car checked. Other reasons may include abnormal fuel economy, problems with acceleration, and various malfunctions lighting up your “Check Engine” indicator. If you need a new oxygen sensor, vapor canister, PCV or EGR components, or other Saturn Ion emission control parts, check out our online catalog.
