CV Driveshaft by Rugged Ridge®. More is involved in lifting a vehicle than just slapping on a set of taller springs. Other systems, like the steering and driveline, are affected and if changes aren't made the vehicle's drivability and durability can be adversely affected. Steeper driveshaft angles on lifted vehicles can cause vibration and reduce the lifespan of bearings and U-joints. These Rugged Ridge driveshafts use double cardan CV-type joints, which are stronger and operate safely at more extreme operating angles without vibration. Skyjackers CV Yoke are necessary when upgrading to a Skyjacker CV driveshaft.
When you modify the driveline of your Jeep or do that suspension lift so you can run those big tires, you're also affecting other systems on your vehicle that, without modification, may not be up to the task. The driveshafts are one such area. These Rugged Ridge driveshafts feature a double cardan style CV-joint at one end, which is much stronger and able to function safely at more extreme operating angles. Using these driveshafts will reduce or eliminate annoying driveline vibration that you may experience with the stock shafts on a lifted vehicle.
Although these shafts are equipped with the CV-joints and also feature thicker, stronger tubes, they still bolt up to stock axles and the transfer case. They're suitable for lifts up to 6" and backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
